NAIFA’s advocacy strategy is comprehensive, coordinated, and rooted at the federal, interstate, and state levels. No other association matches NAIFA’s reach, relationships, or results when it comes to protecting financial professionals and the clients they serve.
NAIFA is the only association representing the full spectrum of financial service professionals with a seat at every table in Washington. From risk protection to retirement planning, our advocacy shapes the policies that define our industry’s future. We engage all three branches of the federal government: legislatively, through direct contact with all 535 members of Congress via our PAC, grassroots network, and Congressional Conference; executively, by influencing regulatory rulemaking; and judicially, by defending our members’ interests through federal litigation when needed.
NAIFA is actively involved with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the National Council of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) long before policies become law. We serve on key working groups and subcommittees, provide expert testimony, and submit detailed comment letters to shape model legislation at its earliest stages.
NAIFA is the only producers’ association with a consistent presence in all 50 states. Our state chapters, 50 PACs, and grassroots leaders ensure we have a voice in every statehouse. From State Legislative Days to regulatory roundtables, NAIFA drives engagement where it matters most. Our decades-long relationships with state officials, many of whom go on to serve in Congress, further strengthen our national influence.
